Still taking a break (for now) from posting my #NordstromAnniversarySale buys, because let’s be honest-how many of y’all out there are actually bundling up in sweaters and boots right now? Not this girl! I’m still grabbing my swimsuit on the weekends, and one-shoulder tops like this.
We’ve seen a few trends come this summer, and I’ve dabbled by big toe in all of them. Some of these trends are the off the shoulder top/dress, the one shoulder tops, and tie up tops. I think I exhaust the latter the most, and I ain’t mad about it!
The tie-up trend is a simple twist on a good basic, and makes a basic look appear pulled together, i.e., a knotted/tie-up tee-shirt, one thing I love to wear lately the most. On the other hand though, I am so into blue and white stripes this summer. You too?? Seems like options are just everywhere, and when I saw this cutie the embroidery and tie detail completely sold me!
The quality of this top is also surprisingly top-notch! When it arrived in the mail it was neatly folded and crisp, as if it were perfectly pressed before it was sent out to me. I am wearing my normal size here, a small, and it’s a little cropped. If you don’t want to show any midriff I would pair this with a high-waisted pair of shorts or jeans… even white jeans! I wore my favorite neutral block heels of the summer, and kept the rest pretty simple.
