Happy Monday, friends! I had the most relaxing weekend I’ve had in a while, which consisted of meeting a friend I haven’t seen in months for coffee/brunch/catch-up! I also did a little shopping and ended the weekend with yummy food and a funny movie. Hello Girls Trip!

Love at first sight with this navy midi cut-out dress! I spent the month of July in Dallas, which means I was there during the beloved #NSale. In one of my shopping escapades I noticed this dress on the rack. I picked it up, thought, how cute, checked the brand and wondered why I had never heard of it. It’s by Soprano. This #NSale Topshop colorblock cardigan is probably one of my favorite purchases from Nordstrom recently, and is the perfect fall piece to base a cozy outfit around. It marks off all of my favorite boxes: Neutral-check; Stripes-check; Soft-check, now all I need are these leaves to be golden and the temps to be down about 30 degrees and we are good to go! It runs a size or two large, and I’m in the US 2 here.

I must have been late to the #NSale shipment train because it sure felt that all of my items came weeks after most others’. Nevertheless, now that the initial mad dash of it all has passed and we are now to the final stretch (7 days left-prices go back up on Aug. 7) I am showing you what I have kept, after trying it all on + styling it. And yes, I’m fully aware that none of us are really thinking about sweaters and boots and coats, but if you’ve noticed my talk about this sale then you’ve grasped that it’s a great time to buy NEW items to wear in just a couple of months, and maybe sooner if you’re traveling somewhere that actually has or gets a fall season, unlike me here in the south.

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is such an exciting time of the year! Some may call it Christmas in July, and I would agree.
