When in doubt, choose simple black and white! That is my motto most days, and you really can’t ever go wrong with it. I picked up this pair of trousers a couple of weeks ago and immediately thought they would also work as a pair of joggers, ie., a more causal look. Anytime I can maximize items that I’m purchasing I’m more apt to not only purchase, but keep. And you can’t go wrong with a black pair. They go with anything!

Earlier in the week before getting these trousers I picked up this long tweed blazer and instantly knew to pair them together. Wearing the blazer with the trousers is a perfect work look. Being that it is oversized, I still got it in my normal size small. I added in the mauve d’orsay heels for some subtle color and interest, and if you wanted to go for drinks or date night after work wearing this look all you have to do is take off the blazer and it looks so chic with just the cami. But, remember to wear a proper bra this day if that’s your plan 😉

These trousers also easily transition and style well with my striped tee, converse sneaks, and a simple black baseball hat for those days you need something throw and go and you can’t remember the last time you washed your hair! Anyone else?? Perfect weekend look for errands, coffee, and running around town.

They fit of the trousers is spot on, I’m in a size small, they’re the perfect weight, not too heavy and not see through at all, & they’re more high-waisted, which, what isn’t these days? But I’m glad! It took me a while to try out high waisted jeans, but the moment I got my first pair it all made sense! I get to wear so many more tops now that I own and love a few pairs of high waisted denim and now these trousers! Again, maximizing items in my closet.

I also can’t rave enough about the blazer! This trend is so in right now. The tweed material is so fun and so Fall, and the gray color is a great neutral that will go perfectly with white jeans, black jeans, and regular denim. Even a cute black mini skirt! Did you see this blazer and post from last week? I can’t get enough, y’all!

Are you convinced the oversized blazer is one of the top Fall trends this year?

It’s always great when a piece can pull double duty! I love both ways you styled these trousers. And that blazer is the cutest thing! So perfectly on-trend.

I’m in love with the colour of your heels!! Also, i need your blazer. The material reminds me of a cardigan or sweatshirt. And you’re right, you can never go wrong with black and white 🙂

I love that these looks are truly so different from each other. Your blazer looks so cozy for fall and I love your thin gold bracelet detail. So fun!
