Love at first sight with this navy midi cut-out dress! I spent the month of July in Dallas, which means I was there during the beloved #NSale. In one of my shopping escapades I noticed this dress on the rack. I picked it up, thought, how cute, checked the brand and wondered why I had never heard of it. It’s by Soprano. Have any of you heard of it before?? I love it! In doing a little scoping on Nordstrom’s website I noticed that I liked a lot of things by this brand.

First off, let’s talk cut-outs. As a young 30-something I typically think this style of dress would be better if I were 10 years younger, but, the placement of where the cut-outs are, a little higher and smaller, actually make it more mature and appropriate. I would go up a size for sure, though! I’m in a medium. No matter where a cut-out may be, in typical fashion, it may pinch and push a little bit of skin out, giving the illusion that it’s too small. If you are comfortable with this style, I highly recommend this dress!

I also fell in love with the slit. It’s just on one side and sort of comes to life only when you walk. And the navy color is a year round staple for me, but it’s perfect for the cooler upcoming months. Especially with this cardigan that I paired over it. Wearing a size small in it. The cardigan allows you to wear this dress to a fall event, when it’s cooler out, while also classing the look up! Today this cardigan is in and out of stock for 50% off–under $25! I will be wearing it with everything from a plain white t-shirt, over dresses like here, with shorts, you name it.

Also, if you remember last month when I first picked up these shoes during the #NSale… I couldn’t stop talking about them! These also run TTS. I also have not been able to stop wearing them. The suede and the peep toe look scream fall, but go with so much, especially in this neutral color.
