Is it just me or is everything 90s or maybe circa 2000 coming back around already?? We’ve got the mauvey-brown lipstick shades, crop tops (for me only if it meets a high waist), denim skirts (my fave!), and I swear I saw stirrup leggings on Nordstrom’s site two days ago. No joke. I couldn’t believe it.
And while I’m all about grabbing what’s cute and trendy, here and there, especially if it’s around $20, I can’t help but giggle at how FAST styles truly do make a full circle. If you would have asked me last year what I thought about denim skirts I would have run to the nearest trashcan and barfed. Ok, that’s a bit dramatic, but I would have said no, I don’t think so, you’re crazy.
Well well well, if it isn’t the fashion gods once again just laughing at us. But that’s ok. Joke’s on them, because this cutie is only $23 and I’ve already worn it 23 times. It’s high-waisted, has the perfect amount of stretch, and runs big, so it gives you a small confidence boost when you buy it in one size smaller. Um, and have you seen the cute buttons?? Win in my book!
I paired it with classic blue and white stripes, with some fun ruffles, and a pop of color with these poppy red lace-up espadrilles! Speaking of, I don’t know how this is my first pair. The heel height is not too tall, they are incredibly comfortable, and the small tassels seal the deal.
On another note I am still recovering from all of the #nsale madness. I don’t know about you but the 4 orders I placed are all shipping different items at separate times, to different addresses, and it’s making me a little cuckoo keeping up with it! I can’t imagine how the associates are handling the chaos! #illprayforyou. But in all honesty, what I normally do is just buy everything I instantly love since it all flies out the door (or screen?) so fast. Then I’ll try it all on, work some different outfits with each piece, then decide if I’m keeping it, exchanging for another color or size, or sending it back. There’s truly no better way to shop!

So what about you? Was today one of those Mondayest-Mondays ever? I forgot to mention I drove home 8 hours straight on Sunday after visiting my Mom for about two months. I went for Mother’s Day weekend and just never left! Ha! If you had the Florida panhandle beaches just a stone’s throw away you wouldn’t leave either. Trust. I hope y’all have a fabulous kick-off to the week and do some fun things! Or, just watch some good TV shoes. Btw, I need suggestions on something quick and easy to get into, to watch. Any ideas??
