Classic Black and White Tie Front Shorts

Classic black and white color palettes are a no-brainer go-to for me, especially when it involves these white tie front shorts. When I first saw them I was instantly drawn to the big tie-up detail. I mean, how cute are they, and not to mention an easy twist on a simple pair of shorts? It’s a firm yes from me! And at just $45 I’ve already gotten my money’s worth.

When I do wear shorts or a shorter skirt I usually want a little more coverage in my top. If I’m not pairing a jacket with my look, then I just grab a higher neck tank. Ya know, to keep it classy.

This shipping option for the year essentially pays for itself after just a couple of orders. What this also is good for is ordering a couple of different sizes if you aren’t sure, then sending back the one that didn’t work out. Need I say more?

Speaking of sizing…these are a little tricky. If you’re like me and wonder why high-waisted shorts and jeans don’t tend to run “big” i.e. sizing down since your waist, the smallest part of your mid-section, is smaller than where traditional low-cut jeans sit, then go with your normal size. Depending on the brand for me, I either have to size up one in high waisted bottoms, or sometimes my regular size works just fine. It’s 50/50. These fit great throughout, but the waist could be just a bit bigger. Ultimately, my normal size 4 worked here, though, as the next size up was too baggy everywhere else.

I had such a busy, but fun, weekend that I seriously felt like I needed an extra day to catch up on rest. I needed an extra day so that I could be fully prepared for my work week ahead. Didn’t happen, so we’ll try again today!
